Jobs and Vacancies
KHRG is a small and flexible organisation with a long established international reputation. We work directly with local villagers on issues of concern to them, and also produce detailed human rights reports and conduct local and international advocacy. Karen people form the core of KHRG's staff and operations, and at present we are actively engaged in an ongoing effort to build the capacity of local people to conduct all aspects of the organisation's management.
Below are a list of our current full-time positions and volunteer openings. Closing dates on these positions are not fixed, but they will be closed once sufficient appropriate applicants are received. If you are interested in applying for any of these positions please send your CV/resumé with references and a cover letter to applications@khrg.org.
Please note that KHRG salaries are based on local salaries and are not on the same level as expatriate salaries offered at international NGOs. As an equal opportunity employer, KHRG pays local people and foreigners on the same salary scale. As a gauge, you can expect to be paid between US$250 - US$400 a month for all full-time positions, and up to US$100 a month for the intern positions. These are sufficent to live on quite adequately, as living costs here are low.
